Job Duties
Under the direction of the Medical Director, performs various radiographic service i.e., positions patient prior to performing radiographic exposures; operates and maintains all radiographic equipment.
Essential Functions
- Ensures quality and safe delivery of care.
- Prepare patients by pointing x-ray equipment toward the appropriate areas of the body
- Communicate with patients regarding the process
- Help control radiation levels
- Maintains patient records
Temperament
Must be able to perform under stress when confronted with emergency, critical, or unusual situations. Must be capable of dealing with periodic cyclical workload pressures and levels of responsibility. Required to make independent judgments without supervision. Must be able to make generalizations, evaluations, or decisions based on sensory or judgmental criteria. Must have the adaptability to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency or composure. Requires the ability to work with people beyond giving and receiving instructions.
Skills, Knowledge, Abilities
- Knowledge of radiographic procedure and practices.
Experience Requirements
2 years Specialized Training required
Extensive Physiology and Anatomy knowledge
Education Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required
Associates Radiology Technician preferred
Certification/Licensure
BMO Certified at time of hire
