Overview: As a Catering Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of our catering operations. You will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of catering events, from initial client inquiries to event execution and follow-up. Your attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and ability to multitask will be essential in delivering exceptional service and creating memorable experiences for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Communication and Coordination:
· Serve as the primary point of contact for catering inquiries, providing prompt and professional responses to client requests via phone, email, or in-person meetings.
· Gather detailed information from clients regarding event requirements, including date, time, location, guest count, dietary restrictions, and preferences.
· Collaborate with clients to customize catering menus and services to meet their specific needs and budgetary constraints.
Event Planning and Logistics:
· Coordinate with internal teams, including culinary staff, event planners, and logistics personnel, to ensure seamless execution of catering events.
· Manage event timelines and logistics, including equipment rental, delivery schedules, and setup/breakdown arrangements.
· Conduct site visits as needed to assess venue suitability and logistical considerations.
Menu Development and Execution:
· Provide guidance and recommendations to clients regarding menu selections, presentation, and serving options.
· Ensure that all catering orders are accurately prepared, packaged, and delivered according to client specifications and quality standards.
Sales and Business Development:
· Actively promote catering services to new and existing clients through targeted marketing initiatives, networking events, and promotional activities.
· Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional services or products to enhance the overall catering experience.
· Maintain accurate records of client interactions, sales leads, and catering bookings using CRM software or other tracking systems.
Quality Assurance and Customer Satisfaction:
· Monitor and evaluate the quality of catering services provided, seeking feedback from clients, and making adjustments as necessary to meet or exceed expectations.
· Address any issues or concerns raised by clients promptly and professionally, demonstrating a commitment to resolving problems and ensuring customer satisfaction.
· Cultivate positive relationships with clients and vendors to foster repeat business and referrals.
Qualifications:
· Proven experience in sales & planning, or hospitality management.
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with a customer-focused approach.
· Proficiency with CRM software’s.
· Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
· Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by catering event schedules.
· Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for site visits and catering deliveries.
