We are looking for a dynamic after-school coach to join our "after-school" program based in the science of Behavior Analysis. Although we are primarily considered afterschool, we are also home school supplemental and have several students in the morning supporting closer to a full time position.
In this role, you'll be in charge of overseeing and planning daily activities, preparing learning materials, and helping students with homework. You'll also create progress reports to inform parents about their child's studies and personal development.
Fit Learning is a clinic-based, one-to-one educational center based on Learning Science for students K-12 with all abilities. We have two labs: one in Upland and in Costa Mesa, CA. We are looking for interested candidates who want to work in a culture that focuses on fun and has an impact on the lives of students in our community.
Who is a Learning Coach?
- An individual who enjoys working with students between the grades of kindergarten and 12th grade.
- An undergraduate or graduate student looking to learn and apply principles of psychology learned in the classroom.
- A person who is looking for a change in career paths that is interested in learning a new skill within psychology or education.
What skills should a Learning Coach possess?
- While we will train all necessary aspects required to complete the coaching position independently, a Learning Coach should demonstrate the ability to communicate immediately and effectively, accept and receive feedback, implement feedback, and a reliable team member.
- All training is paid and is performance based. Completion of training lasts approximately 50 hours in total.
- Following training, certified coaches start at $20 - 24/per session hour and receive performance-based bonuses immediately following completion of other certifications.

A Learning Coach is:
- Responsible for preparing and running sessions related to all curriculum domains in which the Learning Coach is certified.
