Medical assistant is responsible for everything from administrative work to patient and physician support tasks at this facility. They may help getting a patient's medical history information or taking their vital signs. Medical assistants perform many administrative duties, including answering telephones, greeting patients, updating and filing patients' medical records, filling out insurance forms, handling correspondence, scheduling appointments, arranging for hospital admission/ surgery and laboratory services. Also assisting the provider with minor in office procedures is included.
Requirements: You've attended college or training program. The training will include laboratory and/or clinical sessions that offer hands-on practice in drawing blood, taking vital statistics and assisting with routine medical procedures.
