Digital Technology Partners is an IT Managed Service Provider serving clients throughout the Southeastern United States. We provide a full suite of services to customers including office buildouts, ongoing support and management of IT systems, regularly refreshing technology, and expansions and moves.
Our Field Service team is responsible for the physical deployment of all technology that we sell including structured cabling, wireless access, switchgear, routers, speakers, TVs, monitors, phones, computers, servers, and much more. The Field Service team regularly works at the direction of, and in cooperation with internal resources such as Project Managers and System Engineers. The Field Service team often must also function independently, or under a designated foreman amongst themselves.
The DTP Field Service team works both in the Metro Atlanta area and travels to nearby surrounding states. This includes regular out-of-town trips lasting for up to a week at a time. DTP provides Corporate Company Credit Card for hotel and accommodations in these situations. Company vehicle and tools are also provided. We also strive very hard and succeed, at limiting weekend work and travel.
A DTP Field Technician’s primary duties include, but are not limited to:
- Hanging wall and ceiling mounted TVs
- Installing various wall, ceiling and cabinet mounts for computer monitors, CPUs, etc
- Installing wireless networking equipment
- Running various Ethernet, HDMI, and other low voltage cables
- Placing computers, monitors, printers, scanners, phones and other equipment
- Cable managing and otherwise outfitting office-environment technology
- Building out small business 'server closets' consisting of patch gear, switches, routers, PBX, and other relevant equipment testing various peripherals for functionality
- Interacting with customers regarding specific requirements related to the installation of equipment
- Termination, testing, toning, tagging, and patching of various telephone lines and networking
- Troubleshooting of various technology and computer systems within reason
- Re-installation of Windows operating system or images and installation of various software

The equipment deployed is typically preconfigured by a team of technicians, however, technical knowledge is commonly required to complete the on-site portion of project installations.
DTP Field Service Technicians work via ticket assignments and dispatch under the supervision of our Field Service Manager. The general workload varies between several small trouble-tickets per day, and assignment to a particular job site spanning several days in order to complete more ‘project’ style work.
