POSITION PURPOSE:
Responsible for the repair and maintenance of the plant equipment to ensure maximum production quality, repair and troubleshoot basic instrumentation controls while supporting the policies, goals, and objectives of the company.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:
1. Repair or replace plant equipment or systems on a scheduled or emergency basis.
2. Perform maintenance activities including corrective, preventive
3. Communicate directly with production management and shipping/receiving department to coordinate maintenance and repair work.
4. Assist with diagnosing and trouble-shooting maintenance related issues.
5. Assist with new installations and other projects, as requested by supervisor.
6. Work with engineer and external contractors to plan and implement installation of new equipment or systems.
7. Participate in safety, health, and environmental programs.
8. Know and understand city, county, state, and federal regulations relating to maintenance and plant equipment, and work in a manner to ensure that these regulations are met at all times.
9. Work in a safe manner at all times.
10. Participate in programs and procedures required to ensure plant safety
11.Be available for overtime work on a scheduled or call-in basis as required.
12 Must be able to wear proper PPE when required. Including FR coveralls/full face respirator when required.
EDUCATION/ CERTIFICATION:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Instrumentation education preferred but not necessary.
Must be able to pass a basic aptitude test.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
Trouble shooting of industrial machines and systems
Welding knowledge and experience on carbon / stainless steel preferred. Mig, Tig Plasma cutter etc…
Must be able to be certified for Forklift and scissor/boom lift.
Knowledge of and strict attention to safety precautions and rules required.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION:
The majority of time will be spent in the plant. All types of chemical industry equipment are used in the plant to include, but not limited to process vessels, agitators, mixing and milling equipment, distillation columns, centrifuges and distributive control systems. May be exposed to loud noises, wet and humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, extreme hot and cold depending on weather conditions. Must be able to climb ladders and work at elevations of 75 feet. Must be able to speak English clearly. Fine visual acuity to read for accuracy.
PHYSICAL STRENGTH:
This job may require lifting of up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Pay Frequency:
- Bi weekly or Twice monthly. $40/hr. to start, DOE
