Our busy west side practice is looking for a detail oriented expert in front office customer service. Previous office experience in either a medical or dental office setting is preferred. The candidate must be able to answer questions, troubleshoot patient scheduling issues, process payments accurately, and interact with the public in a calm friendly manner. As our first point of contact with the public, professionalism is key. Bilingual preferred. Experience in dealing with insurance verification and claims a plus. Please apply in person Monday through Thursday, 10:30 am to 11:30 am or 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm, and on Friday 8:30 am to 11 am.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and guests warmly and professionally.
- Answer incoming calls and schedule appointments.
- Communicate with patients and visitors via email, phone, or in person.
- Collect payments at the front desk
- Enter and verify insurance benefits.
- Maintain front desk; clean, stock shelves, restock supplies as needed, and perform maintenance projects as assigned.
- Knowledge of dental terminology is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations is preferred but not required.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a medical office or equivalent work experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products is strongly preferred (Outlook, Word, Excel).
