About the Role: Under the immediate supervision of the ED, the Clinical Director is responsible for each component of the client’s treatment planning, including all programmatic implementation.
The Clinical Director (CD), is a lead management member of the treatment team, functioning as the primary facilitator for all clients on the continuum between admission and discharge. The CD monitors the progress of the treatment plan and delegates the plan for clinical engagement by the team.

Job Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctoral Degree in a Behavioral Health discipline, Counseling, Social Work, or related field, with at least 2 years post-graduate experience. Clinical license is required.
- 2 years of staff supervision is required
- Understanding of Substance Use Disorders and Dual Diagnosis
- Must maintain a positive demeanor and clear understanding of professional boundaries with clients and staff.
- Ability to follow directives explicitly, adhere to facility policies, and exercise time management skills.
- Completion of CPR and HWC prior to working the floor
- Schedule flexibility may be required to accommodate patients
- Must hold a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meets budget expectations of the Clinical Department
- Responsible for clinical staff activities on all shifts including weekends
- Arranges for preventative maintenance on equipment and submits timely repair requests
- Recruits and interviews potential new hires
- Orders clinical programming supplies
- Approves time and payroll records for clinical department
- Works therapist position as needed
- Schedules employees and monitors labor hours and overtime
- Initiates and oversees department performance improvement activities
- Provides department specific training and education
- Adheres to DMHA and Life Safety regulations
- Adheres to Joint Commission Requirements
- Provides initial screening for potential client admission as needed
- Completes corrective action summaries and recommends disciplinary action to HR
- Audits the EMR for all clients to ensure timely and accurate clinical documentation
- Reports safety hazards Executive Director
- Performs appropriate hand hygiene throughout the shift
- Uses personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriately
Compensation: $90,000-$110,000/yr
