CDL Class A License required.
- Expected to safely operate motor vehicles under 10,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW).
- Assists with the loading and unloading of work and delivery trucks.
- Conducts worksite setup and take-down of equipment, tools and materials.
- Ensures that job sites and staging areas are kept safe, clean and organized.
- Assist with customers in the field, support all motor-vehicle/traffic management activities for a safe worksite.
- Work includes trenching/shoring, installation of ground conduit, installation of electrical devices such as transformers and light posts.
- Uses a shovel, post-hole digger, mattock, or similar tool to support the installation of underground power cable.
- Uses hand tools to perform basic maintenance of equipment; may operate backhoes, trenchers, vacuum trucks, lift trucks
- May also assist from the ground with overhead power line installation and repair.
- Works outside five and six days a week.
- All work performed by the Laborer/Helper is in strict accordance with F&H Safety Policies and Procedures.
- No prior training or education required; experience working outdoors preferred.
- The Laborer/Helper must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with crew members.
- Ability to read construction prints preferred.
- Primary and secondary electrical experience also preferred.
- Must be able to lift and/or move items up to 100 pounds and over.
- Experience in the safe and effective use of a hand shovel required.
