Maxus Properties is seeking to hire a full-time Maintenance Supervisor for Bicycle Club Apartments in Kansas City, Missouri. Under the direction of the Property Manager and the Regional Maintenance Supervisor, Maxus Maintenance Supervisors are responsible for the overall maintenance of our communities, including overseeing all financial aspects of maintenance projects.

DESCRIPTION: Responsibilities of the Maintenance Supervisor include:
- Supervise and participate in all maintenance projects in all appropriate categories: electrical, lighting, carpentry, plumbing, and HVAC.
- Coordinate, schedule, and respond to service requests for occupied and vacant apartments, as well as common areas. Monitor incoming service requests and establish scheduling priorities through the cycle to completion.
- Prepare units for move-in by inspecting, scheduling contract work, and performing upgrades/repairs.
- Recruit, hire, and train maintenance team members. Schedule regular and on-call shifts. Monitor members’ training courses for compliance.
- Control maintenance materials by assessing and purchasing supplies/scheduling services within budget constraints.
- Assist the Property Manager in scheduling and performing apartment and safety inspections.
- Maintain accurate records regarding preventative maintenance, work orders, apartment refurbishing, roof leaks, refrigerant logs, snow logs, MSDS sheets, and equipment.
- Identify and correct hazardous community conditions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A current driver’s license is required.
- Three years of facility or property maintenance experience, preferably in a supervisory role, is required.
- EPA and CPO certifications are required.
- Familiarity with Fair Housing and commitment to all Fair Housing regulations are required.
- On-call rotation is required. For this reason, the ideal candidate will live within 30 minutes driving distance of the property.
