WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (Job Overview):
As a Procurement/Inventory Specialist, you would maintain inventory control, monitor orders and coordinate with other teams to ensure optimal inventory levels. You would also provide support, development and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers.
As a Red Cross Team member, you will take care of your team members – show up for every shift and give 100% while you’re there. Interact in a positive, proactive, and customer-focused manner with both internal and external customers, demonstrating care and compassion at all times.
WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE FOR GOOD (Key Responsibilities):
- Maintain inventory control for materials to ensure optimal inventory levels and timely reception of supplies and materials. Reports inventory status and needs to management.
- Performs data entry of material requisitions and packing slips on the automated Purchasing and Inventory Systems for the region/division.
- Assists the Shared Services Center with invoice/shipping problem resolution of purchasing orders. Interacts with regional staff regarding changes on purchase orders, returned goods and invoicing problems.
- Tracks lot numbers for regulated materials and reports status to appropriate staff. Maintains record retention system for regulated and non-regulated procurement documents.
- Sets up new files and maintains existing filing systems in the receiving area for regulated and non-regulated documents.
- Assists in the development and maintenance of database files and reports.
- Resolves routing problems and forwards problems of a more complex nature to management.

Standard Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm
Pay Information: $20.50/hr
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Minimum Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 3 years of related experience in materials management and data entry or equivalent combination of education and related experience required. Requires aptitude to work with figures.
- Effective verbal and written communications skills and the ability to interface with all levels of staff required.
- Prior experience with personal computers, to include Excel, Access, Word or Oracle.
Physical Requirements
Physical requirements are those present in normal office environment conditions. Operational flexibility is required to meet sudden and unpredictable needs. Ability to use a personal computer, applicable software, and office equipment for sustained periods of time. May include sitting for long periods of time, driving a vehicle, and working under challenging conditions.
