Description:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Serve 4-6 tables, or as determined by management.
- Report to work in a neat and clean uniform; maintain well-groomed hair and personal hygiene as established by company policy.
- Check in with the MOD and host at the beginning of each shift.
- Interact with guests in a friendly and fast manner, ensuring guest complete satisfaction and exceeding their expectations.
- Enter and complete customers’ orders on the computer system, accept different types of payment.
- Maintain complete knowledge of Restaurant’s food and beverage preparation.
- Manage all tables efficiently and through attentive service and precise order taking.
- Check identification of guests to ensure they are of legal age to consume alcoholic beverages; politely refuse beverages to guests who are not of legal age.
- Clear and reset tables. Maintain specific side-work and ensure the total cleanliness and smooth operation of the restaurant.
California Food Handler’s card and ABC certification is required for all food service employees who prepare, store, and serve food and alcohol.- A willingness to work mornings, days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Basic knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits, and be familiar with standard drink recipes.
- Physical stamina to lift and carry items (food, dishes, etc.)
- High energy and strong verbal communication skills required.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to prioritize and work effectively within a sometimes-pressurized environment.
- Ability to read menus, safety documents, and other work-related documents.
