Job Title: Toddler Assistant Teacher (Open to working with children between 2 and 3 years of age).
Position Schedule:
Full Time Year Round - 8:30 - 6:00
Full Time Year Round - 7:30 - 5:00
Monday through Friday (Hours are consistent each day). Below are the schedule options for this position:
Starting Salary: Equivalent to $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Job Summary
The Goddard School (The Greater Heights) seek experienced Teachers to provide early care and education for children ages six weeks through five years. All candidates should be flexible in their availability to work within the facilities operating hours of 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
My name is Christi Barrett, and I am the Owner of The Goddard School (The Greater Heights). I was a teacher at YES Prep before I decided to open my own preschool. I believe a good early childcare educator is pivotal to develop the social, emotional, and cognitive skills needed for a child to become a happy and productive citizen. General Job SummaryThe general responsibilities of a Teacher include, but are not limited to, the following:
Health and Safety
- Designing an appropriate room arrangement to support the goals and developmental levels of the children in your classroom.
- Ensuring that equipment in the classroom is in good repair.
- Understanding and implementing, when necessary, Goddard’s emergency procedures.
- Promoting healthy eating practices at lunch and snack times.
- Understanding children are never to be left unattended.
- Understanding that although spills are to be cleaned up immediately, major cleaning should not be done while the children are present.

Qualifications and SkillsRelevant Work Experience:
2 - 5+ years in an Assistant or Lead Teacher position
Educational Level: Associate’s, bachelor’s degree or CDA (preferred)
- Must meet all requirements as mandated by the state of Texas for this position

- The ability to maintain composure under stress
- Excellent organization and time management skills and the ability to multi-task
- Proficient computer and internet skills
- The ability to lift up to 35 lbs. for the purpose of the handling of children in the event of emergent situations and for the facilitation of programs
