Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Tax Accountant to join our team. This is a vital role that requires strong technical accounting knowledge and the ability to work with precision and accuracy.
Responsibilities:
- Reconciling sub-ledger to general ledger account balances
- Preparing financial statements
- Performing balance sheet, income statement and changes in financial position/budget variance analyses
- Maintaining and reconciling fixed assets schedules
- Preparing tax returns and corporate reporting requirements
- Prepare tax provisions schedules, returns, payments, reports and maintain a company’s tax database
- Find tax solutions to complicated tax issues or errors from incorrect tax filings
- Make sure that clients comply with federal, state and local tax regulations
- Accurately prepare quarterly and annual tax reports
- Keep up-to-date with tax changes and industry trends by participating in educational opportunities, participating in professional organizations, keeping up with professional networks and reading professional publications
- Ability to meet assigned deadlines
- Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives
- Maintain client contact and coordinate flow of information to the tax team and clients’ other professional service providers
Requirements:
- 3 to 4 years of public accounting experience
- Bachelor's degree or Masters in Accounting or Finance
- Exposure to Federal Income Tax, and State and Local Taxes
- CPA certification is preferred, but not required
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team-based culture
- Able to learn in a fast-paced environment
- Possess strong computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge in QB, CCH ProSystem Fx Tax,

Pay: $82,800.00 - $102,800.00 per year
