The Direct Support Professional is responsible for implementing procedures and individual programs that will enhance opportunities for participants of the Day Services Program to reach their highest level of independence. Are you creative and have ideas regarding daily activities and plans for our clients? If so, we want to speak to you!
SUMMARY
The Direct Support Professional (DSP) for our day services enrichment program are held in 4 locations. Three locations in Canton and one location in Avon. They are all approximately 10 minutes driving distance within each other. We do require our DSP's to be flexible with the location, depending on the need. We are a team, so to insure our team member are able to take Paid Time Off, Sick Time or anything else, from a quality of life perspective. We pride ourselves on the fact that all our staff members are there for each other and our participants.
The DSP is expected to be creative and flexible with their schedule. We want to hear your ideas on activities on campus and off campus. Our DSP's are ambassadors to the community with our participants, we go to museums, restaurants, farms and much more. We expect our DSP's come to work on time and with a smile, because today is another day to make a difference in our participants lives.

Note: Some of our participants require assistance with personal hygiene due to either a physical, behavioral or intellectual disability.If you have been a CNA or worked in healthcare, this is a plus. Always remembering that this role requires patience and understanding. Come to work everyday on time and with a mindset to put yourself in their shoes and treating everyone the way you would like to be treated. QUALIFICATIONS:

One year of experience working in the field of Human Services Health, Education, Rehabilitation or Day Program Services preferred

Eligible to possess a Medication Administration Certificate as required. We provide the training and pay for study time and the test which is taken on our campus.

PMT certification, CPR/First Aid/AED Certified is required and we will train in first week of hire/onboarding

High School Diploma/GED required

3 years driving record and CT driver license with clean driving record is required. We have a partnership with Ride Share, which requires this for insurance
