The Critical Care and Telemetry Clinical Nurse Specialist will join a team of professionals in a medical center with services ranging from family-centered maternity care and high level neonatal care to technologically advanced cardiac services and an innovative palliative care program, their work touches people at every stage of their lives.
The Clinical Nurse Educator for Intensive Care Unit ICU and Telemetry will provide service group educational support to clinical staff and will be focused on staff clinical development and expertise. Specialty areas will include ICU, telemetry and medical surgical units. The Acute Care Clinical Nurse Educator will work intimately with the service group director and Clinical Nurse Specialist to plan for the development of excellence in care.
The Critical Care and Telemetry Clinical Nurse Educator will emphasize the use of educational theory and expertise to foster clinical growth to increase the competency of staff and ensure safe and positive patient outcomes. The Intensive Care Unit and Medical Surgical Clinical Nurse Educator will use multiple resources to assess the learning needs of staff and assist them in developing a personal professional growth plan.
The Critical Care and Telemetry Clinical Nurse Educator will plan educational activities to meet the educational needs of staff. The Intensive Care Unit and Telemetry Clinical Nurse Educator will prepare learning materials for specific educational activities and coordinating learning activities with Employee learning and Employee Advancement departments as appropriate. The ideal candidate should have clinical experience in Cardiovascular ICU/Telemetry, and Cath Lab with VADs and IAPBs.
