Position Summary
The Program Manager, AmeriCorps, is a key, full-time position within PRI. The Program Manager will report to the Director of Programs and will work directly with AmeriCorps members, Project Director, program staff, other PRI staff, serve Kentucky, and key partners, to implement national service programming. The Program Manager will assist with the central administration of national service programs, such as AmeriCorps. The position leads and operates with the goal that All Rural Students Succeed.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities

- Support the mission, vision, and values of PRI and its intended impact
- Contribute to an internal culture focused on equitable outcomes for all rural students to succeed cradle to career
- Maintain accurate records, files, and data in support of AmeriCorps
- Assist PRI’s Human Resource department with onboarding activities for AmeriCorps members including, new hire paperwork, orientation, data entry, criminal history checks, and compliance protocols
- Ensure all AmeriCorps documentation is completed and processed in an accurate and timely manner
- Maintain accurate AmeriCorps related data entry in America Learns and eGrants
- Assist with developing and maintaining AmeriCorps specific policies and procedures
- Develop and implement programs to help manage member welfare and ensure high retention rates
- Provide AmeriCorps specific training to all members and staff
- Coordinate and collaborate with other programs and Partners for Rural Impact as needed
- Develop, implement, and manage special projects as needed
- Provide support to members including documentation for public assistance, employment verifications and provide information and enrollment support for education awards, childcare allowances, living allowances, and health care
- Perform regular reviews of all required documentation to ensure compliance with Serve Kentucky and AmeriCorps regulations
- Implement and manage program information and data collection systems
- Other roles/duties will be assigned as necessary to assist and support in the attainment of our mission, All Rural Students Succeed.
Position Location & Schedule
The position will be considered for remote in Kentucky work with local, state, and sometimes national travel required.
Normal business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET with in-office, hybrid and/or remote work a possibility. Because of the nature of the responsibility to schools, partners, funders, and to the service region, individual offices or departments may have operating hours that extend beyond this period and may include evening and/or weekend hours.
Minimum Qualifications
Education required to ensure success in this position:
- A bachelor's degree is required; master's degree is preferred
Experience required to ensure success in this position:
- At least three years’ experience within the areas of federal grant compliance or grant management
- Experience working with national service grants, such as AmeriCorps, preferred
- Demonstrated experience and commitment working in and with rural communities.
- Demonstrated success in a complex, fast-paced, high-performing organization, with the ability to prioritize projects and work cross- functionally

License, certification, or registration necessary:
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to successfully complete pre-employment background check
