What we’re looking for…
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Regional Account Manager to join our dynamic team. As an Regional Account Manager, you will be responsible for conducting marketing research, driving sales and generating new business opportunities in the ocean freight division of our company. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a passion for sales and a strong understanding of the logistics industry.
- Maple Lane Logistics is currently looking for candidates with around 2-5 years of experience in the ocean freight/logistics import/export industry. (CY/CY, INTERMODAL, DRAYAGE, CY/DOOR)
- Must have strong attention to detail, good time management, and strong communication skills with the ability to work as a team while working in a fast-paced environment.
About the Position
Duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
- Conduct thorough market research to identify and pursue new sales leads in the ocean freight market segment
- Perform cold calling to establish rapport with new and existing clients
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers
- Prepare and present detailed sales quotation proposals
- Coordinate with various departments within the company to ensure seamless execution of customer shipments
- Monitor market trends, competitors, and industry developments to identify sales opportunities
- Maintain detailed records of client interactions and communication in company's CRM system
- Stay updated on product knowledge, industry trends, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Must have at least 2 years prior experience in ocean freight operations/sales or a similar role within the ocean freight forwarding/logistics industry
- Strong knowledge of ocean freight processes, including import and export regulations
- Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset
- Proficiency in relevant computer applications and software
- Degree or diploma in business, logistics, or a related field (strongly preferred)
- Additional languages in addition to fluent English (Spanish, Mandarin, and Cantonese) are a strong asset.
