Primary Function:
Responsible for overseeing and coordinating the manufacturing process. This includes managing production schedules, monitoring productivity, and optimizing resources to meet production targets, all while ensuring safety and cGMP standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Packaging:
· Inspect all incoming containers of WIP/bulk material and packaging components for damage and/or defects, and for accuracy.
· Ensure that the bottles/pouches/jars/blisters are filled with accuracy following the batch records for the specific products.
· Ensure that all piecework is done meeting the packaging pages and product specifications.
· Ensure that all released packaging pages are brought over to production and the schedule is updated in the system.
· Coordinates breaks and lunches.
· Supervise employees and make sure tasks are completed.
· Communicate with the Manager daily. Provide EOD report.
· Measure BPM every two hours per line.
· Record down times and reasons.
· Meet daily goals and task assigned by Operations and or Production Manager.
Miscellaneous:
· Keep the areas clean and free from debris and potential safety hazards.
· Interview, select, hire, and discipline direct reports.
· Develop employees to the next levels of carrier advancement.
· Manage employee PTO to ensure continuous production operation.
· Ensure that daily verification of the scales is performed and that calibrations are
current
· Ensure that all areas and clean and organized as the daily operations are being
pre, during, and post-operation.
· Ensure that all movements are done in a safe manner.
· Adhere to Daily, Weekly, and Monthly KPIs
· Present ideas for process improvement on a regular basis
· Update the management team during the daily huddles and throughout the shift
Skills & Knowledge Required:
· High School Diploma, GED or equivalent (required)
· Minimum of 3 years of proven management of fast-paced production
· Bilingual (Spanish) (Preferred)
· Computer skills in MS Office Suite/Google Suite, & ERP systems
· Strong organizational and people skills
· Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
· Self-starter/motivated
· Forklift Certification a plus, must complete within 30 days of employment
(If applicable)
· Know how to load and unload pallets and containers to and from our six-level
high, approximately 35 feet, rack locations
· Available to work extended hours, depending on the demand of goals
· Proven experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement systems
and methodologies.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
