Responsibilities:
What you will get to do in this role:

Collaborate with various stakeholders to define and implement data management strategies, policies, and governance frameworks

Establish and enforce data standards, naming conventions, and data classification frameworks

Implement and monitor data governance processes, including data access controls, data retention policies, and data life cycle management

Provide leadership and drive the creation and maintenance of robust master data processes and governance

Participates in the development of data policies, including data retention, data privacy, data use, and data regulation

Develops policies and procedures to ensure appropriate access rules are in place and access groups are defined and maintained

Provide thought leadership and participate with projects that involve any of the upstream or downstream data flows and processes

Helps to identify, report, analyze, and resolve data issues related to uniqueness, integrity, accuracy, consistency, and completeness by working with the business owners and Data Platform Team

Provide guidance and leadership to domain owners and data stewards regarding best practices for managing the corporate data catalog
Likely breakdown of focus areas:
- Work with various stakeholders and the legal team to understand internal and external governance needs (40%)

Work with the platform team to implement a governance system (30%)

Create and maintain governance policies, metrics, and processes (20%)

Present data governance and compliance reports to the data strategy leadership (10%)
Qualifications:
Education & Experience Requirements:

5+ years of experience in Data Governance and Data Quality (or similar) roles

Knowledge of Data Stewardship and Data Ownership processes

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
