Job Summary:
Join our team as a Director of Nursing where you will oversee the nursing department and ensure the delivery of high-quality care. As a key leader, you will be responsible for managing nursing staff, implementing nursing policies and procedures, and maintaining regulatory compliance. Monday through Friday- on-call as needed for emergency situations via telephone. Must be flexible with the needs of the community when it comes to staffing and willing to work a weekend day as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction to the nursing team, including nurses and support staff.
- Develop and implement nursing care plans in collaboration with healthcare providers.
- Ensure proper documentation review and adherence to HIPAA regulations.
- Manage nurse scheduling, assignments, and performance evaluations.
- Oversee nursing administration tasks and maintain efficient systems for patient care.
- Coordinate with other departments to optimize resident outcomes and satisfaction.
- Monitor quality assurance programs to enhance patient safety and satisfaction.
Experience:
-RN preferred.
- Proven experience in nurse management roles, preferably in acute care settings.
- Strong background in Nursing Administration with a focus on delivering exceptional patient care.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to nursing practices.
- Ability to lead a diverse team of nurses and support staff effectively.
Skills:
- Excellent documentation review skills to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Proficient in nurse management techniques to optimize team performance.
- Knowledge of Nursing Administration principles to streamline operations.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality.
- Experience in acute care environments with a focus on quality patient care delivery.
- Ability to adapt to changing healthcare systems and technologies. Ability to use EMR systems.
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with healthcare professionals effectively.
