A thriving gynecology clinic in Visalia is looking to add a Nurse Practitioner to their growing health team.

The Nurse Practitioner will coordinate the patient plan of care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in collaboration with the healthcare team and in compliance with all agency, local, state, and federal laws, and regulations.
Job Duties include, but are not limited to:
- 8 to 5 or 5:30 Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday; 8 to 12:30 Tuesday
- See an average of 20 patients per day including history, physical, discussion of diagnoses/treatment plan
- Document the chart notes daily
- Answer patient phone messages
- Review results of lab tests, radiology reports etc.
- Supervise a medical assistant to help you with these tasks
- Learn the nuances of gynecologic diagnoses/treatment/procedures- we would teach you how to perform endometrial biopsies, vulvar biopsies, bartholin’s abscess catheters, Nexplanon insertion/removal, IUD insertion/removal.
- Coordinate with nursing staff to further execute treatment plans.
- Perform annual physical examinations on all persons served as scheduled, order appropriate laboratory studies, and classify appropriate worker status.
- Perform minor GYN surgical procedures (i.e. medical device removal and insertion).
- Document all findings using the S.O.A.P.E. method.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Review patient labs and x-rays and communicate results as needed.
- Refill medication.
Licenses/Certifications:
- Unrestricted current NP license, certification, or registration in the state of California - must maintain all certifications, educational requirements, licensing, etc.
- Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration
Required:
Strong background in family medicine.
Supervising Physicians will train you in women's health.
