Duties Responsible for the development and implementation of the Youth Services Program at assigned library location. Responsible for planning and coordinating in-house and outreach programming for Youth, parents and caregivers. Responsible for coordinating Youth Summer Reading Program at assigned location. Organize and self-direct work responsibly. Work cooperatively with all staff at every level and foster positive working relationships. Develops, selects and maintains library collection for youth. Performs outreach activities to local schools and community organizations to promote Youth services. Represents the library with community organizations pertaining to children. Participates in marketing library programs and services through a wide variety of ways, including print, online and media formats. Edits the Library's webpage for youth services.
Qualifications: Master's degree in library science from an ALA accredited college or university and minimum two (2) years relevant experience. Must possess required knowledge, skills, abilities and experience and be able to explain and demonstrate that the essential functions of the job can be performed. Preferred experience using online apps (Microsoft Office/365, Beanstack reading challenge software, LibraryAware, and LibCal calendar), Maker Space equipment (3D printer, Laser Cutter, and Circuit).
