Job Purpose: Transports materials, machines and other items to various departments, vendors, or customers.
Qualifications:
- Education and Experience: High School Diploma or G.E.D; Minimum of 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be 21 years old or older. An acceptable driving record and valid state CDL Class A license. Current and valid Medical Certification Card.

Knowledge: Knowledge of State traffic, and D.O.T. laws.

Skills & Abilities: Must have a high degree of attention and dexterity in the control of the vehicle to ensure proper delivery while preventing damage to materials and equipment. Strong communication skills (verbal and written) when dealing with vendors, customers, management, and team members. Must be able to work both indoors and outdoors under adverse weather conditions. Must be able to obtain a for Fork Lift Truck operators license within 30 days of assignment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Job:

Assists in the loading and/or securing of materials and equipment on trucks daily. Assists material handlers in verifying materials and quantities for accuracy.

Responsible for timely delivery of products and materials to customers, vendors, or company plants and warehouses using the most efficient route available.

Operates tractor-trailer combination while observing and obeying all traffic laws and safety regulations as well as company policies/procedures.

Unloads or assists in unloading products and materials at drop destination using authorized and appropriate equipment.

Responsible for the completion of required paperwork pertaining to deliveries, returns, and/or transfers to ensure the accurate tracking of product and materials for inventory control management purposes.

Maintains the cleanliness and appearance of the inside and outside of delivery vehicles.

Performs routine safety checks on vehicles according to company and D.O.T. requirements. Reports non-conforming conditions to Supervisor for repair or correction.

May perform fork lift truck tasks at Whitehall locations that support Shipping/Receiving department activities.

Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
