As a Property Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of residential properties. Your main goal will be to ensur that the properties are well-maintained, tenants are satisfied, and rental income is maximized. Your duties will include:
- Managing tenant relations and addressing any concerns or issues that arise
- Conducting property inspections and coordinating necessary repairs or maintenance
- Advertising and marketing available units to attract potential tenants
- Screening and selecting qualified tenants, including conducting background checks and verifying references
- Collecting rent payments and ensuring timely payment from tenants
- Enforcing lease agreements and handling lease renewals or terminations
- Maintaining accurate records of income, expenses, and tenant information
- Handling tenant move-ins and move-outs, including conducting inspections and returning security deposits

- Customer service: Ability to provide excellent customer service to tenants and address their needs in a timely manner
- Real estate administrative: Proficiency in handling administrative tasks related to property management, such as lease agreements, rent collection, and record keeping
- Property leasing: Experience in marketing available units, conducting showings, screening tenants, and negotiating lease agreements
- Customer relationship management: Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with tenants, vendors, and other stakeholders
- Facilities management: Knowledge of property maintenance best practices, including coordinating repairs, scheduling inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations
- LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit): Familiarity with LIHTC program requirements and regulations for managing affordable housing properties
- Data entry: Accurate data entry skills for maintaining tenant records, financial information, and property documentation
- Property management software: Proficiency in using property management software or computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for efficient record keeping and reporting
