The College Link Program (CLP) provides specialized support services, not covered by the Americans with Disabilities Act, for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) who are enrolled at Cal State East Bay. The program supports these students in the higher education environment by leveraging their individual strengths to facilitate academic and social success. The program focuses on four domains: academic, social, career and independent living skills through creative and flexible approaches meeting individual needs.

- Temporary Position
- Part-time, up to 20 hrs per week beginning August 15th, 2024
- Flexible schedule; on-campus position (NOT ONLINE)
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide 1x1 support to CLP students in all four domains in a variety of campus and community environments. This may include meetings to discuss their weekly schedule and plans to follow through; observing and prompting a student in their class, and debriefing with the student after class; accompanying students in group social activities and general support in the CLP Lab.
- Attend Mandatory weekly staff meetings and Mandatory bi-weekly All Staff Trainings.
- Monitor and maintain detailed records of students’ progress.
- Other duties as assigned to support the program.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Practical knowledge of post-secondary education
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Ability to maintain detailed notes and records
- Must be reliable and punctual
- Maintain student confidentiality
- Must show patience and respect to all students
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience working with individuals with ASD
- Prior experience with Applied Behavior Analysis or Positive Behavior Supports
- Coursework and/or major in Speech Pathology, Sociology, Psychology, Education or a related field.
