This position is the heart of our Claims Department. As a Claims administrative assistant, you will support the Claims Administrator and assist the claims adjuster within our department. Some of the duties involve the following:
- Entering new claims
- Processing bills
- Verifying Checks
- Mailing Checks and other documents
- Scanning mail and distributing to proper claims adjuster
- Taking telephone calls from providers to check bill status
- Making telephone calls to follow-up with providers to make sure we have all bills on a claim
- Daily phone back up for receptionist's lunch
- Telephone back up when receptionist is out of the office
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 18 – 25 per week
