The Warehouse Manager leads and directs the warehousing operations of the plant. Responsible for directing efficient, effective, and accurate shipping, receiving, dock, and warehouse activities. Directs, coaches, trains and gives performance feedback to all warehouse workers including shipping clerks. Responsible for complying with all Shipping and Receiving SOPs, Quality SOPs, and all HFG policies and regulations.
Required Skills/Abilities/Duties/Responsibilities:

Oversees daily warehouse operations; plans, directs, organizes personnel and other resources to efficiently receive, store, and ship product.

Ensures that shipping, receiving and storage of product are performed in an efficient manner.

Communicates routinely with warehouse personnel to assure that all understand the day’s warehouse schedule, key issues, and challenges.

Assures that each team member understands their work and responsibilities and is current on training expectations.

Ensures the work areas are appropriately maintained and corrects any unsafe conditions immediately.
- Sets up warehouse layout and ensures efficient space utilization.

Assists in recruiting, training, appraising, and coaching team members and providing disciplinary action.

Assures compliance with all Company policies, as well as all Federal, State and Local OSHA regulations.

Oversees the use, maintenance and training for all warehouse equipment including but not limited to forklifts and pallet jacks and works with Plant Manager in any concerns.

Oversees the maintenance and cleanliness of warehouse area to assure a clean, orderly and safe environment.

Monitors inventory and communicates shipping issues to the Plant Manager.

Completes receiving and shipping documentation.
- Communicates with production leaders and supervisors.

Education and Experience:

Proven warehouse management experience (5+ years)
- High school diploma or equivalent.

Proficient in Microsoft programs.

Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases

Leadership skills and ability to manage staff

Strong decision making and problem-solving skills

Forklift Train the Trainer certification preferred

USDA/FDA work experience preferred

Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

3PL Industry Knowledge
Physical Requirements:
-
Able to work within timelines and in pressure situations based on warehouse needs.
- Available to work scheduled hours and weekends as required for plant needs.
- Able to stand, bend, climb up and down stairs for sustained periods of time, approximately 10-12 hours per day as required.
- Able to work in a refrigerated environment (-10 degrees).

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds as required for job functions.
