What We’re Looking For…
Currently, we are searching for a Director of Nursing for our Skilled Nursing Facility- the Larsen Health Center. The DON is responsible for the overall clinical management of our skilled nursing community.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Employment decisions for a nursing department consisting of over 150 employees
- Clinical leadership including but not limited to monitoring of Quality Measures, Incident Reports, Wound Management, Infection Control, Risk Management, Process Improvement Projects, and Policy Development
- Ensuring appropriate level of staff to meet the care needs of residents
- Ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations
- Provide leadership to the nursing department in serving the residents, families, and staff in a caring, compassionate, and competent manner
- Assume responsibility for the Larsen Health Center in the absence of the Administrator
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of ten years’ experience in the field of nursing, at least five of which in a supervisory capacity. He/she will also have a current and active RN license in the state of Florida, along with training and/or experience in the area of Long-Term Care and/or Rehabilitation. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
