Inclusive Community Resources, LLC is a Berkeley-based supported living agency dedicated to empowering adults with developmental disabilities. We are currently seeking a friendly, reliable attendant to work the following two shifts in San Rafael:
- Tuesdays 10am-Wednesdays 10am (24-hr shift)
- Thursdays 10am-6pm (8-hr shift)
- TOTAL: 32 hrs/week
There are also opportunities to work additional hours within our agency, both with this client, as well as with clients in the East Bay (if desired).
COMPENSATION:
- Starting pay is $20/hour for full rate, daytime hours. After successful completion of a three-month probationary period, you will be eligible for a raise up to $21/hour for full rate hours.
- Overnight rate hours (from 10pm to 6am) are paid at $18/hour.
Our client is a trans male in his mid-forties. He is diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy and visual impairment. He is very creative and laid-back. We are looking for someone who is dependable, flexible, and friendly to help our client with tasks ranging from hygiene routine (including showering and toileting) and household chores, to running errands and going to appointments. Experience is not required, but an open mind, patience, and willingness to learn are essential.
Our client uses a wheelchair, so attendants must be able to assist him with transfers, though he is able to bear weight. Our client also has a wheelchair accessible van for transportation, which all attendants must be comfortable driving. Other bonuses would be: a love of animals (our client has a sweet, small dog), interest in painting and crafts, knowledge of community resources, and motivation to go on fun adventures out in the community!
