We are seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to join our team at Allendale Treatment, in Auburn, Indiana. The ideal candidate has experience working in an intensive care setting, along with strong communication skills, and is interested in working collaboratively with team members. The selected individual will be responsible for assessing patients and using clinical judgment as a well-rounded Registered Nurse. We are willing to train the right candidate. $3,000 sign-on bonus for a fully qualified new hire after 90 days of employment.
Responsibilities:
- Administer medication to patients and monitor effectiveness.
- Assess and improve patient's physical and emotional state.
- Maintain records of all medical activities.
- Communicate with physicians, therapists, and other staff members.
- Educate patients and their families about medical conditions.
- Communicate with patients' family members and co-workers.
Position Competencies:
- Ability to identify short-term and long-range patient care issues that must be addressed; provide information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommending options and courses of action; implement physician directives.
- Proficiency to assess patient health by interviewing patients; perform physical examinations; obtaining, update, and studying medical histories.
- Ability to determine abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests and interpreting test results.
- Ability to document patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
- Demonstrated ability to perform therapeutic procedures by administering injections and immunizations; suturing; managing wounds and infections.
- Demonstrate patient HIPAA confidentiality.
- Effective time management, punctuality and attendance are essential functions of this position.
