Overview
This role plays a crucial role in designing, implementing, and optimizing compensation programs to align with an organization’s strategic objectives along with motivating and driving performance to achieve business goals. This role also involves ensuring competitive and equitable salary structures, administering pay programs, and analyzing compensation data to support the company's strategic objectives.
The primary responsibility of this consulting need is to lead the compensation team (1 Comp Analyst, 1 Total Rewards Specialist, 1 Commissions Manager, 2 Commissions Analyst) and manage the day-to- day work along with any special projects that arise. The most critical knowledge required for this consulting need is sales compensation design and management, although they must have the ability to also manage non-sales plans and strategies. Ideal candidate has overseen all of compensation management/programs with a specialization or highly skilled in the area of sales.
Responsibilities • Stakeholder Collaboration: o Work closely with HR (PX), Finance, Sales and Senior leadership to ensure alignment and effective execution of compensation strategies and plans. • Compensation Strategy, Administration & Plan Design: o Design and update salary structures, pay policies, and incentive programs to ensure market competitiveness and internal equity. o Develop and design compensation plans that attract, retain, and motivate. o Ensure compensation plans are aligned with the company's strategic objectives and performance targets. o Collaborate with senior management to understand business goals and translate them into effective compensation strategies. o Oversee the administration of base pay, bonuses, and incentive programs. o Manage salary review requests as needed. Data Analysis and Reporting: o Analyze sales performance data to assess the impact of sales compensation plans. o Provide insights to senior management on the effectiveness of compensation programs. o Identify trends and make data-driven recommendations for plan adjustments. • Market Research & Compliance: o Conduct market research to ensure compensation plans are competitive within the industry. o Analyze compensation data and trends to inform compensation decisions and policies. o Benchmark against industry standards and best practices. o Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to compensation. • Consulting and Advisory: o Serve as a subject matter expert on sales compensation, advising on best practices and innovative approaches. o Provide guidance on complex compensation issues and challenges.
Qualifications •
Experience: o Minimum of 5 years of experience in Business, HR, or a related field. o Minimum of 3 years of experience in compensation management, with a strong understanding of compensation principles and practices. o Proven track record of designing and managing compensation plans – with a focus on sales compensation. • Skills: o Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data. o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. o Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. o Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to compensation. o Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment. • Personal Attributes: o Detail-oriented and highly organized. o Strategic thinker with the ability to align compensation with business goals. o Problem-solving mindset with the ability to handle complex issues. o Collaborative spirit, with the ability to pull a team together and drive a business decision.
