Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Seat guests and manage the seating chart
- Provide accurate wait times and monitor waiting lists
- Answer phone calls and take reservations
- Assist with taking food and beverage orders
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the host/host station
- Collaborate with servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests with prompt and courteous service
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, daily specials, and promotions
Experience:
- Previous experience as a host/host in a restaurant or hotel setting preferred
- Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar restaurant point-of-sale systems is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of basic food service and hospitality principles
