Optometrist
Key Role
- Serves as a key provider for the Compensation and Pension Medical Disability Examination program for one-time examination with no treatment. Review of Medical Records within the IT platform if requested.
- Complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) and Medical Opinions (MOs), within required 48-hour timeframe utilizing IT platform
- Complete all DBQs and MOs meeting Quality Assurance standards
- Anticipates and resolves potential issues to avoid downstream problems and optimize the Veteran experience
- Collaborates closely with teammates, other internal teams and external partners as needed
Basic Qualifications
- Doctor of optometry (O.D.) degree
- Must possess a Idaho state-issued license for O.D. and optometry
- Prior C&P Examination experience is a plus, but not required
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- In-depth knowledge of eye-related disorders and conditions
- Customer service oriented with excellent analytical skills
