SALARY RANGE- This position pays Minimum Wage $16.00/hour plus gratuity and tips. Bartender is responsible for providing the highest quality service to guests and servers and maintaining the Silverado Resort standards of cleanliness and sanitation while following the requirements at the Bar.
Essential Functions
- Must adhere to the company’s Service culture – 4 Keys to creating guests for life.
- Must actively participate in team member referral program and be a Talent Ambassador for Silverado Resort.
- Must participate in all resort required meetings and trainings.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform/business attire and nametag.
- Ensure that the bar and service areas are kept clean and tidy during service.
- Must be able to create various seasonal cocktails and be able to recommend them to various guests.
- Follow prescribed procedures in serving liquor with care to avoid potential liability when handling intoxicated guests.
- Have a thorough understanding and knowledge of the food menu and be able to make recommendations.
- Set up the bar according to resort/bar standards and ensure that guests are served promptly and efficiently.
- Prepare beverages and cocktails according to the resort’s mixing and presentation standards.
- Serve guests with all beverage requirements in a friendly, courteous and professional manner.
- Break down bar after the completion of functions, storing liquor, supplies and equipment according to the resort’s standards.
- Follow all state liquor laws.
- Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
- Abide by all resort policies and safety rules.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Experience in bartending is required.
- In compliance with California laws, Responsible Beverage Service and Food Handlers Certification are required.
Working Conditions and Schedule
- Long hours sometimes required.
- Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 50 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
- Must be able to stand and work for extended periods of time during customary service hours.
- Must be able to bend, stoop or reach as needed.
