North Suffolk is looking an
for Admissions Coordinator, Insurance Specialist to join our team! This position is part of the admissions team, which is responsible for enrollment, referrals, administrative and operations requirements for admissions to all North Suffolk Community Service (NSCS) programs. In this role, you’ll be the professional and friendly voice of NSCS that welcomes those looking for services and a vital part of our Admissions and Engagement team. This role within the Admissions team will have a special focus on insurance and collections.
This position may have the ability to work out of multiple clinics/locations required (East Boston, Boston, Chelsea)
What you'll do:

Ensure timely responses to the Centralized Admissions line and monitor data regularly while troubleshooting any concerns.

Ensure all client records/charts are up to agency standards including entering all client admissions and keeping information up tot o date to Agency standards

File/Scan al client intake information into medical records

Complete and mail or fax all PCP releases and forms.

Document correspondence with outside sources via Information Exchange Note.

Ensure the input of SDOH screener in eHana as well as required paperwork is signed and inputted.

Enter ESM forms for BSAS licensed program.

Monitor the patient notification (Open beds) system and any BHHL referrals and responses.

Run client insurance in real time.

Coordinate with collateral providers and community partners.

Complete all documentation as required in the electronic health record.

Facilitate communication to treatment teams when patients are admitted.

Complete fee assessments and review insurance and payment options with clients as needed.
What You’ll Need:

Education:
-
High School Diploma or GED completion required, Associate Degree preferred.

Experience:
-
1-2 years of human service experience with similar population preferred.

Skills/Knowledge:
-
Previous office experience and computer skills required. Knowledge of Windows application required (Word, Excel, and Access).

Be or be able to become CPR/FA certified according to NSCS policy.

Bilingual Spanish strongly preferred.
