The Department of Public Safety, Utah Highway Patrol Technology is looking for a Video Records Redaction Technician.
Principle Duties

Converting video from records requests into a shareable format

Redacting audio and video as required under the Government Records Access Management Act and agency policy

Downloading and uploading records through the agency records portal
-
Helping to establish best practices, procedures and policy concerning Audio/Video redactions
-
Determining which video records should be disposed of
-
Processing a variety of agency confidential documents by reviewing for accuracy and completeness
-
Providing the public and others with information and assistance to complete forms and applications
-
Retrieving data found in databases to generate requested reports
-
Maintaining and creating files or record keeping systems
-
Sorting, labeling, filing and retrieving video and documents, or other materials
-
Monitoring, tracking, and following up on GRAMA requests, documentation, case files or other assignments to ensure appropriate timelines are met and action completed
The Ideal Candidate
The model candidate for this position is someone who:

Has experience with digital video editing or be currently enrolled in an institution of higher education's film, videography, video production, digital media, etc. program.

Has experience working with public safety sensitive organizations and understands rules and statutes regarding the use of and or release of confidential and or restricted information.

Has great communication skills.

Has computer skills with Word, Excel, and Google Docs, and applications within the Google Suite, etc.

Has excellent record keeping and organizational skills.

Experience with records management processes, retention schedules, and GRAMA processes.
