Position Summary:
The Sales and Marketing Manager is responsible for exceeding sales revenue goals, developing and maintaining valued guest relationships, expanding the company’s current guest base through sales and marketing, developing and maintaining professional selling skills for our restaurant. The Sales and Marketing Manager focus is on contacting/prospecting and meeting with clients, preparing proposals and securing contracts for the restaurant.
Essential Duties:
- Prepares and regularly evaluates strategy and action plans for identifying prospects and generating leads.
- Generates leads through letters, e-mail, phone calls, networking and site visits.
- Stays up to date on events in the market and capitalizes to generate leads.
- Maintains a tracking system of guests and leads; utilizing for continued follow up.
- Ensures timely and effective execution of all in-venue event lifecycle stages.
- Compiles feedback from events and reviews with General Manager and Executive Chef to improve the guest experience.
- Maintains proficiency in all administrative systems pertaining to Special Events (i.e. Open Table, Gather, Calendar Invites, BEO Reports)
- Provides regular reporting to the General Manager.
- Understands all aspects of service for in-venue events and off-site events.
- Assists with the planning and coordinating of special events and promotions as needed such as guest events, store openings, media/influencer meals and previews, internal company events and off-site promotional events.
- Abides by office hours, scheduled by the General Manager.
- Stays up to date on industry best practices; implements those appropriate to the business.
- Completes other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:
- A BS/BA degree in a related field from an accredited college/university.
- Three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience with a restaurant/hospitality organization.
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to safely and efficiently operate telephone, computers and other office tools and equipment.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to read and interpret documents such procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of people.
- Ability to apply basic math concepts of addition, subtraction, division and multiplication.
- Ability to gather information, analyze and solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Approachable and accessible; develops and maintains effective relationships with all departments, team members, guests and potential guests.
- Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment; strong time management skills.
- Able to handle confidential and proprietary information appropriately.
