THE ROLE
We-Collab is seeking an Analyst for its consultant team to play a key role in supporting our firm in providing strategic counsel to organizations seeking to advance equity in local communities. The Analyst will be part of a growing organization and have the opportunity to directly support the organization’s leadership team in managing projects, leading deliverables associated with these projects, and ensuring positive client relations.
The ideal Analyst will have direct prior consulting experience, proficiency in writing, research, and analysis, the skills necessary to create presentations, memos, and other documents, and the efficiency and organization to manage a project effectively.
To be successful in this role, the Analyst must be a solutions-oriented thinker. This may include, but is not limited to, additional traits such as learning agility, resourcefulness, analytical skills, and the ability to navigate a variety of motivations and competing interests, all while effectively moving progress forward.
YOUR PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
On a day-to-day basis, the Analyst will work on client deliverables, generating reports, and developing presentations and training material. The Analyst will also carry out various administrative/ project management tasks. The primary responsibilities include:
Client Engagement Assistance (50%)
- Participate in client meetings and workshops under the guidance of senior consultants in a supporting role, assisting with things like meeting logistics, note-taking, presentation setup, and facilitation support
- Lead in preparation for meetings, including briefing senior consultants, and lead in post-meeting activities such as synthesizing notes, sending follow-up communication, and managing follow-up tasks
- Develop project deliverables, including reports, memos, presentations, and other work products, with support from senior consultants
Project Research and Analysis (25%)
- Conduct research and gather data relevant to the client’s specific challenges and needs through general web research, interviews with key stakeholders, distribution of surveys, and examining internal processes
- Gather and compile data into comprehensive briefs, helping to identify patterns, opportunities, and areas for improvement to be reviewed by senior consultants and used to make informed decisions and recommendations for clients
Project Management Support (25%)
- Assist with project management tasks, such as organizing project timelines, coordinating team efforts, and tracking progress
- Manage administrative aspects of projects, including updating project plans, tracking tasks, and managing client communication
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
In addition to being passionate about equity work, we are looking for a candidate with experience working in a social sector organization focused on equity and inclusion, organizational development, or training and facilitation. Past experience or qualities that are necessary to be successful in this role include:
- Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years of related work experience
- Direct prior consulting experience preferred
- Exemplary project and organizational management with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Ability to present information in an insightful and structured manner, both written and oral
- Ability to take concepts, ideas, and solutions and create tangible work products
- Ability to create and deliver compelling presentations that effectively communicate information and ideas
- Intellectually powerful and agile thinking with a curious, rigorous, and creative approach
- Comfortability with working on difficult issues where there can be no definitive “right” answer; patience in the face of uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity
OTHER DETAILS
This is an in-office role based at our office in Houston, Texas, and will report to our Managing Director. The Analyst will directly support the organization’s principals, work closely with We-Collab team members, and may also work with its partners, funders, consultants, and clients across the country.
WHAT WE’RE OFFERING
This is a full-time position. The salary range for this position is $65,000 – $80,000 and would be accompanied by a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
