Job Summary:
Provide Production support for manufacturing, implement production engineering and lean concept to improve the manufacturing processes, product development, and other operational processes.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluating existing manufacturing processes and identifying areas for improvement by developing solutions to increase productivity, reduce costs, and maintain high-quality manufacturing processes.
- Plans and designs methods to improve production processes.
- Ensures compliance with approved production methods and quality standards.
- Together with Product Engineers, will develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for all manufacturing activities within the Commerce facility.
- Develops and maintains documentation pertaining to manufacturing processes, systems operation, product development, and other operational processes
- Drives implementation of best practices, routines, and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output. Scope includes but is not limited to scrap reduction, cycle time reduction, downtime reduction, etc.
- Determine machines capabilities, production lines and work centers capacities.
- Identifies process bottlenecks and devises solutions to resolve and troubleshoot production issues
- Recommends changes or upgrades to equipment, work methods, or other aspects of the process to improve efficiency and utilization of resources including labor, energy and raw materials.
- Together with Product Engineers, will improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing factory layout, production workflow, space requirements, and machines layout.
- Collect data from production lines to aid in decision making and process improvement
- Review and calculate labor, material and other production costs along with reviewing schedules and future production requirements to assist in decision making
- Initiate time studies for manufacturing product lines and adjust production run rates during the cost rollup process scheduled every 6 months.
- Work with Product Development team to ensure the manufacturability of proposed products, assist with manufacturing processes related to First Article Approvals.
- Coordinate equipment maintenance and repair services and make sure that manufacturer’s procedures and instructions are followed in order to keep production equipment operational
- Other related work duties as assigned by supervisor/management.

- Knowledge of company safety policies and procedure and applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards
- Must be able to work independently and consistently demonstrate a problem-solving approach
- Demonstrate good judgment and escalate practical matters to management with an understanding of the job responsibilities and knowledge of how it impacts others and the business operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred, other engineering degrees will be considered.
- 5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing plant.
- Experience with a TPM program implementation or managing a TPM program.
- Strong organization and computer skills- MS Office Suite, Project Management Software, Google Apps, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and CS4 Illustrator.
- Must be able to travel abroad for extended periods (+1 week)

Pay: $100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
