SUMMARY/JOB PURPOSE:
Client is seeking a Senior Payroll Analyst to actively participate in the payroll processing cycle to ensure the payrolls are timely, accurate and efficient. Strong analytical skills, be able to multi-task and perform the job function under minimal supervision as well as possess excellent communication skills. Detail-oriented, a highly ethical team player with a positive attitude, showing a willingness to learn and take on challenges in a fast-paced environment. Ensure accurate processing and recording of the company’s payroll transactions, reporting and reconciliation. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all payroll data through analytics and provide timely and accurate financial information. Ability to work closely with employees and provide excellent customer service and support HR.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support Payroll and month end close
Calculate LOA and provide peer review for accuracy
Complete, load, and provide peer review of manual EIBs
Manage retro calculation process and analyze data for accuracy
Validate stock option activity received daily from stock admin and track tax liability for payroll processing
Process stock option and exercise on demand payments
Validate on demand payroll for terms and NQ/Stock
Manage Time and Absence process
Perform analytical review of bi-weekly payrolls to ensure accuracy prior to sign-off
Perform analytical review of Workday reports for accuracy
Manage payroll e-mail and ensure 24-hour response
Complete and submit payroll VOEs
Initiate new state setup including 3rd party and POA requirements
Apply for tax IDs with state and local tax jurisdictions
Resolve Tax reporting issues
Ensure all payroll tax filing have been submitted timely
Manage 401(K) process including funding, submission of ROE’s to HR, and non-discrimination testing
Complete and submit new hire and Workers Comp reporting
Provide ad hoc reports to business partners as requested
Perform additional duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
No supervisory responsibilities
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Education:
BS/BA degree in related discipline and three years of related experience; or,
MS/MA degree in related discipline and one years of related experience; or,
Equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience:
Payroll experience required
Payroll tax experience preferred
Workday payroll experience preferred
Proficient with Microsoft office products
Experience with SAP and Equity Edge a plus
Knowledge/Skills:
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work under tight deadlines
Ability to interact collaboratively and work as a team
Ability to exercise discretion when handling confidential employee information
