Team Member Expectations
Bridge Foreman
Team member will have 3+ years experience as a bridge foreman. A working knowledge of bridge construction and all the associated facets of bridge construction are also required.

High level of skill in form carpentry, concrete finishing, pile driving, construction equipment used in bridge construction and rigging concepts

Core Duties:

Be punctual, dependable and professional at all times

Work with cost effectiveness, profitability and safety in mind

Lead by example

Lead the safety effort by recognizing and correcting hazards as soon as they are present. Be the #1 safety advocate for your crew
-
Basic arithmetic skills: ability to calculate concrete/stone/asphalt needs.

High level of skill in form carpentry, concrete finishing, pile driving and rigging.

Plan the anticipated work of the crew one day in advance
-
Notify superintendent of equipment and material needs for the next week
-
Identify tasks that need to be done and assign team members to support effort
-
Work with/train team members who show potential and share this information with the superintendent
-
Notify superintendent of assistance needed for layout work that is beyond your comfort level
-
Work closely with the owner’s representative, site inspectors and any other project personnel to keep him/her informed of your work plans.

Communicate time away from work with your team leader and other team members with sufficient notice to make plans for changing personnel to focus on the priorities

Willingness to work hours as required
Qualifications:
-
A high school diploma or GED is preferred
-
Must be able to understand work directions and communicate effectively with jobsite supervisors and fellow team members
-
Minimum of 5 years prior experience working in bridge construction
Education/Training/Certification:

OSHA Supervisor Training
-
Rigger
-
Signal Person
-
Trenching and Shoring Competent Person
-
First Aid/CPR
-
Forklift
