The ABA Intake and Community Outreach Coordinator is the frontline for families seeking Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services. You'll be the first impression for these families, guiding them through the intake process and ensuring a smooth transition into care. We need a passionate advocate who champions Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services within the community. You'll be responsible for raising awareness, building relationships, and educating individuals about the benefits of ABA therapy.
Key Responsibilities:
Intake Coordinator
- Act as family liaison by serving as the initial point of contact for families seeking ABA services. This includes answering phone calls, emails, and inquiries in person.
- Conduct initial screenings to assess a child's eligibility for ABA services.
- Collect and organize essential client information, including medical history, insurance details, and specific behavioral concerns.
- Schedule appointments with Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) or other relevant clinicians based on client needs.
- At least 1 year of conducting verification of benefits (VOBs)
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records within the organization's systems.
- Address any client concerns with sensitivity and professionalism, ensuring a positive experience throughout the intake process.
ABA Outreach Coordinator
- Develop and implement creative strategies (brochures, presentations, social media campaigns) to raise awareness about ABA services in the target audience.
- Collaborate with schools, healthcare providers, doctors and other organizations serving families with children who may benefit from ABA therapy.
- Attend and participate in community events, conferences, and workshops to provide information and spread the word about or organizations
- Develop and distribute educational materials (pamphlets, website content) to inform the community about ABA therapy and its applications.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest research and developments in ABA therapy to ensure accurate and relevant information dissemination.
Qualifications:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for building rapport with families.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks
- Proficiency with scheduling software and electronic health records
- A bachelor's degree in a related field (psychology, social work, education) preferred but not required
- Experience working with children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or other developmental disabilities is preferred but not required
- Passion for ABA therapy and a desire to make a positive impact on the lives of children with autism and other developmental needs.
- Proficiency in presentation software and social media platforms is a plus.
