JOB DESCRIPTION
Orange Tree Staffing is seeking a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology to "Build and Inspire Growth" by providing education-based services to students at Irving Independent School District. As an LSSP, you will play a crucial role in supporting the academic, social, and emotional well-being of students in a school-based setting. As a key member of the school's multidisciplinary team, the LSSP will collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to assess and address students' needs, implement interventions, and promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral functioning.

Interpret assessment results to inform educational planning and decision-making.

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to gather relevant information for assessments.

Develop and implement evidence-based interventions to support students' academic and behavioral success.

Provide consultation to teachers and staff regarding effective classroom strategies and accommodations.

Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and adjust plans as needed.

Provide crisis intervention and support to students experiencing emotional or behavioral crises.

Offer individual and group counseling to address social and emotional challenges.

Collaborate with community resources and agencies to connect students and families with additional support services.

Collaborate with special education teams to determine eligibility for special education services.

Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of appropriate goals and accommodations.

Work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and support staff to create a positive and inclusive school culture.

Provide consultation to parents and teachers on strategies for addressing specific student needs.

Participate in team meetings, staff development, and professional learning communities.

Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, interventions, and counseling sessions.

Prepare and submit reports as required by state and district guidelines.
REQUIREMENTS
- Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.

Current state licensure as a Specialist in School Psychology.

Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to special education.

Strong assessment and diagnostic skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
