Established and growing manufacturing company in High Point, NC is seeking experienced Maintenance Technician
An ideal candidate will have extensive experience in providing maintenance and repair to manufacturing equipment, facilities, and provides support in new equipment and production line installations or changes.
Primary responsibilities are to assure that the preventive maintenance schedule is maintained, and equipment is in good working order. Provide maintenance and repair to manufacturing equipment, facilities, and provide support in new equipment and production line installations or changes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
● Manages the company's maintenance program with special attention to failure analysis.
● Represents the company's position and interest effectively in dealings with outside contractors, vendors, and engineering consultants.
● Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, and electrical systems following specifications, blueprints, manuals, and schematic drawings, using hand tools, power tools, hoist, crane, and measuring testing equipment.
● Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment, using electrical and electronic test equipment.
● Obtains feedback from team leaders and machine operators on possible equipment malfunctions to diagnose a potential problem.
● Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery, using rags, brushes, and grease guns.
● Directs a machine parts and production supplies tool crib to authorized users.
● Maintain clean, neat, and safe work environment for all employees.
● Acts as liaison for hourly employees with upper management.
● Communicates necessary directions to subordinates by written or verbal means.
● Responsible for the training of specific departmental employees to enable them to read blueprints, schematics and schedules and set-up and operate specific equipment.
● Encourages continuous process improvement efforts.
● Participant in collecting, and using, data for metrics to measure Quality, Productivity, and other associated improvement projects.
● Maintain documentation to support ISO.
● Capable of operating all equipment within their assigned department.
