Frassati Catholic Academy is hiring a Special Education Director/Teacher to help oversee our student support services and to provide intervention support and accommodations to students with more significant needs. This is a full-time position working with students in grades PK-8th who have formal diagnoses and who require more significant support than can be provided easily at the classroom level. This teacher would work with individual students or small groups of students to provide direct instruction and accommodations that are difficult to provide in the regular classroom. These services would likely be provided mostly in a pull-out format, though some push-in work might be done. This teacher will work with the assistant principal to oversee and direct the support plans and accommodations for all students. This teacher will be a core member of the student success committee which will meet weekly to monitor student support plans and accommodations. This teacher will also help to provide professional development and coaching for classroom teachers on how to best support students and provide accommodations in the regular classroom.
