Job Purpose:
The Retain Position will provide support for the lab and field inspectors by transporting chemical samples to and from the lab, client terminals, or plant facilities and keeping an inventory system of chemical samples.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain sample log and input data in the tracking system.

Inventory and order drums, disposal/used oil pickup, and laboratory supplies as needed.

Dispose of samples and transport sampled to proper retain sheds by the following quality procedures.

Responsible for the cleanliness and basic maintenance of the laboratory.

Report any incidents or accidents as they arise.

Willing to work a flexible on-call schedule.
-
Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Read and understand all job and safety requirements in English.

All other duties are assigned by management.
Qualifications:

Must have internal and external customer service skills.

Candidate must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Have a great work history with a track record of being a responsible individual.

Excellent communication skills.

High School Diploma or equivalent
-
TWIC card required.
Other Duties:

This position is performed inside and outside weather conditions including extreme heat and
cold.

Be able to work in the presence of odors typical of petroleum or petrochemicals without allergic reactions or nausea, when such odors are within OSHA-designated permissible exposure limits (PELs).

May be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
