We are currently seeking a dedicated Parent-Child Interaction Therapist (PCIT) to join our Outpatient Clinical team! Our multi-disciplinary team has a wealth of training and expertise.
PCIT is a short-term behavioral management program that focuses on strengthening the parent-child relationship and helping children learn to control their frustration. PCIT is typically geared towards children ages 2-12.
PCIT services utilizes dyadic therapy that is conducted through "coaching" sessions where a therapist monitors parent and child interactions and communicates with the parent to build caregiver skills to manage the child's behavior. The PCIT therapist will be trained and certified in the model.
PCIT Clinician Essential functions:
- Meetings: Attend weekly supervision, staff/PCIT specific meetings and any other assigned
- Client Services: Facilitate face to face assessments and implement PCIT model to assigned caseload.
- Documentation: Ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
- Training and Development: Attend NAFI and PCIT Specific trainings to support and enhance skills.
- Collaboration: Develop relationships with community providers; strong collaboration with other grassroots and community organization.
- Quality Assurance: Conducting regular reviews of documentation ensuring that they meet both NAFI and PCIT standards.
- Administrative Tasks: Performing administrative duties such as scheduling, follow up on referrals and assisting director with maintenance of the program budget.
- Schedule: This position is in person and requires flexibility. This position may require in office, in-home and/or community work.
- Skills/Qualifications:
- Candidate must have graduated with a Masters in the human services, healthcare, social work or related field
- Candidate must be license eligible (LMFT, LCSW, LPC) in Connecticut
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Experience with electronic health records
- Two years of experience in human services, healthcare, social work or related
- Must have a valid license and reliable transportation
Salary:
$65,000.00 per/year
