Role description:
The IT Project Manager (portfolio and change) is responsible for planning, executing, and closing application projects. This position will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
Responsibilities:
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables
- Develop a detailed project plan, including timelines, resources, and budgets
- Create and maintain project documentation, such as project charters and schedules
- Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to the project plan
- Build and lead cross-functional project teams
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members
- Provide guidance and support to team members throughout the project lifecycle
- Foster a collaborative and productive team environment
- Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders
- Communicate project progress, issues, and risks to stakeholders regularly
- Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure their needs are met
- Prepare and deliver regular status reports to project stakeholder
- Allocate and optimize resources to meet project goals
- Report on financial performance and resource utilization
Minimum skills / qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Five (5) years of experience in project management overseeing application development projects
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.)
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in project management software and tools
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality
- Strong analytical and organizational skills Preferred skills / qualifications:
- Project management certification (i.e. PMP, PRINCE2)
- Experience leading application projects in manufacturing environments
