System Engineer (III)
At EKO Strategies LLC we are looking for a seasoned Senior System Engineer. As a Senior System Engineer at EKO Strategies, you will work closely with our engineers to implement and maintain information technology systems. This role requires consistent interactions and collaborative efforts with clients, vendors, as well as management, and developers.
Required
· Experience and knowledge with MagicDraw, UAF, SySML, UML
· Coding experience
· Understanding of how company sized and below types of organizations function
· Familiarity with Army Acquisition process
· Thorough knowledge of the Systems Engineering Management Process and Implementation, as applied to the Department of Army/DOD Acquisition process throughout all life cycle phases
· Knowledge of DoD policies on Systems Engineering, Integrated Product and Process Development (IPPD) and IPT Management; and ability to coordinate and negotiate design and engineering activities with other related programs and organizations
· Must be able effectively work with remote team members; making full use of Microsoft Teams and related sets of online tools
Desired Experience/Skills
· Subject matter expert for Systems Engineering and lead engineering efforts on assigned programs with minimal oversight from the Government lead
· Ability to communicate and assist in developing decision briefs
· Familiarity with application of MDMP methodologies
· Previous experience at the battalion (or equivalent echelon) and higher
· Serve as consultant to other team members and mentor workforce on Systems Engineering matters.
· Technical understanding of fundamental application development methods & coding structure
Overview of Role
· Manage systems engineering activities including requirements analyses, functional analyses, design solutions formulation, systems analysis and control, and generation and maintenance of systems architecture products
· Apply system engineering principles and procedures to translate quantified needs and requirements into system performance parameters and the identification of system/item configuration
· Formulate and issue systems engineering documents, processes, procedures and milestones
· Serve as subject matter expert for all technical aspects of assigned program
· Perform top level design, development, integration, testing, installation, and troubleshooting
· Translate military operational and mission requirements into practical system concepts and performance specifications
· Develop and maintains technical documentation such as specifications, engineering drawings, system interface requirements, and engineering changes
· Participate in post awards, program reviews, and design reviews as the project engineer and/or technical expert on assigned programs
· Review test plans, procedures, and reports for technical adequacy on assigned programs
· Review and evaluates system performance against specification requirements, monitors and assesses field performance, and assesses risk of meeting user and specification requirements
· Initiate engineering change proposals and waivers/deviations as required, and conduct physical and functional configuration audits
Must Have
· ACTIVE Secret Clearance
· BS in Engineering and > 15 years relevant experience
· Experience and knowledge with MagicDraw
· Experience and knowledge and recognition in the engineering community
